HOW TO KEEP YOUR BODY IN BALANCE THIS SILLY SEASON

Just a quick post from me today. As this year is quickly coming to an end I though I would share some simple tips to help support your body and the health that you have worked so hard to achieve throughout this year through the holiday season. Just because you’re having fun, doesn't mean you have to pay for it later!

KEEP HYDRATED

Water has never been more important than this time of year. More booze, more food, scorching summer days and the occasional sunburn, it is so important to keep your fluids up.

The more water you drink, the better your skin is going to be, your digestion will be working better and your energy levels will increase!

And for double brownie points be mindful around your water intake when you are drinking alcohol. 1 glass of water for every standard drink is recommended, for your health…. and your pride.

KEEP YOUR EXERCISE UP

Food is a big focus this time of year, so instead of holding back on that glorious food around this time of year, make sure that your exercise doesn't slip. Trying to get in some form of exercise daily will help to compensate for the food and drink consumed around this holiday time. It is also important to make sure that you exercise as a good stress releiver. This time of year can be very stressful for a myriad of reasons, so getting the heart and endorphins pumping is the best way to help manage this stress.

SUPPORT YOUR LIVER

With the influx of rich foods and the increase of alcohol consumption around this time of year gently supporting your liver is a great way to make sure that your body can cope with the changes. This allows your body to stay balanced through the silly season, supporting your digestion, hormone levels, and skin, to ensure that you don’t come to the end of January feeling less than fantastic.

Lemon juice in the morning, lots of leafy green veggies, and even some herbal support such as st marys thistle or turmeric is fantastic for giving your liver a little bit of love throughout christmas and into the new year.
