Oil puling refers to the ancient Ayurvedic practice of pulling oil around your mouth for 15-20min each morning before you break the fast. It is said to help gently detoxify the body. If it is done with coconut oil it can be fantastic for maintaing healthy teeth and gums through the oils natural antibacterial and anti fungal properties, removing plaque without impacting the health of the teeth and gums.

While it is no magic bullet, diet has a major influence on keeping teeth and gums healthy. Maintaining a diet which is low in added sugar and high in alkalising fruits and vegetables will help to maintain a healthy internal environment for your mouth.
